Savannah McMillan

Savannah McMillan became involved in Scouting as soon as she could after having grown up seeing her cousin’s involvement in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and wanting to do the same things. She has been an ILSC instructor for the past five years, an SPL for NYLT, and a crew guide for NAYLE. She also serves as the youth representative for STEM at the High Adventure bases on the BSA National STEM Committee. She has served in various STEM-related positions for the Great Smoky Mountain Council, the 2013 and 2017 National Jamboree, a Philmont trek, and the STEM Youth conference at PTC and the Summit. Savannah has earned her Venturing Silver, Ranger, and Discovery awards as well as four Nova awards.

Outside of Scouting, Savannah is very active in vocal performance, having studied opera for seven years; she was voted Best Soprano in 2013 and 2015 and Outstanding Vocalist in 2016 for the L&N Chorus. She is a rising sophomore at Carson-Newman University where she is majoring in pre-law

John Shepard

John Shepard is currently registered in the South Plains Council of Lubbock, Texas. John has also served as Area Boatswain and Council Boatswain. As a Venturer and a Sea Scout he has graduated from NYLT, NLS, SEAL, and ILSS. He has been awarded the Sea Scout Able rank, the Eagle Scout rank, the Council Venturing Leadership Award, the Area Venturing Leadership Award, the God

 John has also served as Area Boatswain and Council Boatswain. As a Venturer and a Sea Scout he has graduated from NYLT, NLS, SEAL, and ILSS. He has been awarded the Sea Scout Able rank, the Eagle Scout rank, the Council Venturing Leadership Award, the Area Venturing Leadership Award, the God and Church award, and is a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. Along with his service to Scouting John has participated in the Spanish Club, First Robotics, FFA, Show Choir, his school band, NTHS, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Sydney Roberts

Sydney R. from Greater Alabama Council in Birmingham, AL, who has previously served as Council Venturing President, has been selected to serve as the 2017-2018 Regional Venturing Vice President of Program. Sydney has also served as a Venturing Crew officer, a Council Venturing Vice President several times, and as the Assistant Dean of the College of Venturing at the University of Scouting. As a Venturer she has graduated from NYLT, Kodiak, ILSC, and the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course. She has been awarded the Venturing Award, the Discover Award, the Pathfinder Award, and the Council Venturing Leadership Award. Beyond her work in Scouting Sydney has served as an AWANA kindergarten sparks student leader and dance instructor at a ballet academy.

Krislyn is from the Sam Houston Area Council in Houston Texas. She previously served as an Area Venturing Vice President,  Krislyn has also served as Council Venturing President and District Venturing President. As a Venturer she has graduated from NYLT, NAYLE at Philmont, and Powderhorn. She has been awarded the Venturing Award, the Discover Award, the Pathfinder Award, and the Council Venturing Leadership Award. Outside of Scouting, Krislyn has been awarded numerous varsity letters and the Astronomy Excellence Award by her school. She has also served on the Junior Rodeo Committee
