Danny LeGaye is an Eagle Scout and has been an active scouter for over 20 years.  Scouting has always been a passion of his which he has tried to share with people through his service to the program.  In addition to his role as Advisor and Chairman for the Sam Houston Area Council Venturing Program, he is also a member of the Order of the Arrow  As a youth, Mr. LeGaye participated in the Junior Leader Training Conference (JLTC) and National Junior Leader Instructor Camp (NJLIC) at Philmont.  Both of which were critical in helping to strengthen him in his role as the founding President of Venturing Crew 911 in Houston, Texas, for which he was honored with the Council Venturing Leadership Award. His love of scouting has only grown and broadened it’s reach internationally when he took the opportunity to participate in the European Camp Staff program and got to spend seven weeks in southern Germany at the International Guide and Scout Camp Bucher Berg with some great scouters from around the globe. His love of the program has only continued to inspire and encourage him to spread and strengthen the bonds of the World Brotherhood of Scouting.
