James “JB” Marshall: Area 3 Venturing President

Area 3 President J.B. Marshall is no stranger to Scouting.  He joined at age 7 as a Tiger Cub.

Today, J.B. is a Venturer who has served as president of his council Venturing Officers Association.  He attends Saint Mary’s Hall in San Antonio, Texas, where he runs track and plays volleyball.  J.B. has received a council Venturing Leadership Award and the Venturing Award.  He has staffed both National Youth Leadership Training and Wood Badge.

An Eagle Scout, J.B. has embraced the outdoors.  He earned the Triple Crown of High Adventure with experiences at Philmont Scout Ranch (both a trek and Rayado), Northern Tier and Sea Base.  J.B. spent a month in summer 2016 at the National Outdoor Leadership School where he became both a Leave No Trace Instructor and a Rocky Mountain Outdoor Educator.  J.B is a member of Crew 285 in Alamo Area Council.

J.B. is focusing on supporting and growing Venturing , and on building new Venturing Officer Association in local councils within Area 3, which serves the southern half of Texas.
